Custom Tours
Want to do something unique? Special? Extremely challenging? We build a custom tour for you and take you to the places that few even know about, much less ever visit. We are experienced adventurers. We live close to the edge, always pushing boundaries. Our custom tour, whether it be in a car, on a bike, or even in a people-mover or bus, will allow you to see the old road and its most obscure markers and ruins.
Hiking La Bajada in New Mexico is an adventure that few have contemplated or completed, but we can make it possible for you to see the El Camino Real (the Royal Highway), and its successor National Old Trails and early Route 66 alignments. Lace up your hiking boots, make sure you are in good shape, and we’ll take you there.
Remember: The best things are off the visible pavement, and often beyond fences and gates. It is our job to make sure that you have the appropriate access and permissions to see the things that many people will never see. Or maybe you would like to have a custom experience at the Painted Desert Trading Post in AZ, the Zia Marker in NM, the oldest road fragments hidden on Cajon Pass in CA, the ghost bridges in Dilia and Newkirk NM, the missing Ozark Trail and 66 segment near Boise TX, the Jericho Gap also in TX…you name it, we make it possible to achieve what many consider the impossible dream.
Custom tours work best in groups of 2-6, although we can work with individuals as well as larger groups. We will provide you with an unparalleled level of personal attention, and will cater to your every need. All hotel arrangements will be made in advance, as well as custom route slips and GPS files. Professional photography services are also available to help you remember your trip.
Contact us with your custom tour needs, and we will put together a tentative itinerary and fee structure. The larger your group, the lower the price per person, but this is not a one-size-fits-all offering. Because of the unique aspects of such tours, fees will typically be higher than for our standard offerings. Each custom tour is unique to your wants and needs. It all begins with your idea. We’ll make it reality.
